In Laguiole, France the huge blade designed by Philippe Stark, rising out of the roof of the Forge de
Laguiole factory, seems to cut through the clouds and draw in the Aveyron sky the capital "L" which is the
signature found on the knives manufactured by Forge de Laguiole.Here the French pocket knives are
forged, stamped, flattened, hardened, honed, burnished and sharpened to the demanding Laguiole
standards. They are fitted on to the plates of the handles which are made of horn or precious woods.
They are joined to the bolsters, to the springs marked with the famous bee, and to the corkscrews just as
the tradition demands. Handcrafted and guaranteed for life.

Courreges was a French designer who worked for Balenciaga before opening his own house in 1961.
Courreges is thought to be the 'father of the mini' but he did invent the moon girl look. In 1964 he was
influential in establishing white and silver as THE colours of the season. His style and influence is well
represented by this beautiful Laguiole knife.
The Laguiole bee has been replaced by Courreges' logo and the spine is simple and pure. The sleek and
modern acrylic handles reflect the satin finish stainless steel liner below. The blade is mirror polished
T12 steel. This knife has a blade stop.
