The Corsican Pialincu from Gilles of Fontenille Pataud combines the best of the old and new. This
stainless steel lockback Vendetta has the traditional style and has been updated to include a smooth
locking blade system. The handle of this hand made knife is 1st choice 5mm thick slabs of Walnut Burl.
The blade is brushed Swedish Stainless Sandvik 12c27 steel, 3mm thick, hardness 54 Hrc and is hand
chased the full length of the blade. The bolster is brushed stainless steel. The spring is made from a 3mm
thick stainless steel Z20c13. A solid bladestop is provided on the spring which insures the a longer edge
to the blade.
Instead of the traditional solid bee forged into the spring the Vendetta features the embossing of the
Corsica Island. The whole spring is hand chased with a grinding file. Stainless steel 1,2 mm thick plates.
The handle is assembled using traditional hand made silver nickel rivets.
Supplied with branded leather slip sheath and gift box.
Handle length is 4 inches.
Blade length is 3 1/4 inches.

stainless steel blade, bolster, and hand chased spine. Esteves is stamped on the blade. Stainless steel
liner lock mechanism with ball detent to secure blade when closed. The handle is exotic Amarante Wood
which is a very hard and heavy wood which is dark brown when freshly cut becoming deep purple to
purplish violet as it ages. Stainless steel flathead set screws. The cutler has hand chased the spine and
top of the blade. Handcrafted and guaranteed for life.
