Z20C13 stainless steel, inside polished, hand carved with a solid blade stop which keeps the edge on the
blade for a longer time. The Blade is Twist and stainless Damascus steel 160 layers, 3.50 mm thick with a
hardness of 54 Hrc. One piece hand chased spine and Laguiole Bee and stainless steel lockback
mechanism. Polished stainless steel bolster with stainless steel pivot pin.
The handle is 1st quality Walnut Burl with Traditional nickel silver pins and polished stainless steel liners.
Supplied with handmade branded brown leather belt sheath and gift box.

The Corsican Pialincu is the newest offering from Gilles of Fontenille Pataud and combines the best of
the old and new. This stainless steel lockback Vendetta has the traditional style and has been updated to
include a smooth locking blade system.
The handle of this hand made knife is 1st choice 5mm thick slabs of Juniper Burl. The Blade is Swedish
Stainless Damascus steel, Rose Patterned 120 layers, 3.5 mm thick with a hardness of 54 Hrc. The spring
is made from a 3mm thick stainless steel Z20c13. A solid bladestop is provided on the spring which
insures the a longer edge to the blade. Brushed stainless steel bolster.
Instead of the traditional solid bee forged into the spring the Vendetta features the embossing of the
Corsica Island. The whole spring is hand chased with a grinding file. Stainless steel 1,2 mm thick plates.
The handle is assembled using traditional hand made silver nickel rivets.

Silver Stag Damascus blades are created by forge welding multiple layers of steels, some that contain
nickel, into a solid block called a billet, (Silver Stag contains 1094 & 15N20 high carbon tool steels). The
billet is folded and rewelded several times to produce layers (Silver Stag Damascus = 100 to 150 layers).
Patterns are created by manipulating the steel during the forge welding process. When the billet is
finished, blades are formed out of the layered steel billet block. When acid is added to the blade, it
attacks the layers of hard and soft steels differently, highlighting the attractive layered pattern in the
blade. The combination of layered hard and soft steel creates blade flexibilty, toughness and produces
invisible serrations on the blade that aid cutting.
Includes an upgraded handcrafted-laced leather sheath.
