Jean-Francois Lieutet and his wife are the artisans who create these beautiful marquetry pieces.
Marquetry is a very old art but the process can apply perfectly to contemporary pieces. This talented
couple, working with local natural flowers and exotic woods, have fashioned each of these pieces by
hand one at a time.
They work with Purple wood, Rosewood, Violet Wood, Mahogany, Oak, sycamore, the yellow of the Lemon
tree, the red of the Coral, Elm, Amboine and Madrona.
They also use naturally dyed wood - those colors which do not exist in nature but which gives more color
to their creations.
These beautiful pieces combine hand crafted inlaid Marquetry, technical ability, and the contemporary
material to make each of these articles a precious and original collectible object
